And so it begins…
All moved in now. School is just as bad as last year, if not worse, as far as my engineering classes go, but that doesn’t mean that there arn’t a few redeeming things. I am taking my first lighting class and it’s really something. We do all hands-on projects, like getting to design a two minute light show to accompany a song of our choice. As you’d guess, I have something up my sleeve for that. I won’t bore you with the details becuase frankly, nobody really cares about the technical details, eh? But yea, it’s the first class at CMU I’ve liked at all. I also have my new apartment. My roomate is a nice guy and we get along pretty well.
School still sucks, but I guess thats expected, especially at CMU. My Thermodynamics class is awful, but is shadowed my Calculus in 3 Dimensions… ugh. I also have Introduction to Mechanical Engineering, which I should have taken last year but my schedule didn’t work out for it. Still, I need it to graduate so I’m doing that now. Lastly, my 5th class is Statics. So far, it’s not awful…. yet…
Michelle just left this morning for PSU, so by now I’m sure she’s all unpacked and stuff. I got to spend a lot of time with her this week, despite my academic situation. Having a car down here has it’s benefits.
Besides that, things are pretty quiet on the home front. Life at CMU is dull and miserable, but even this kind of torture can become routine given enough time.
